N2XB2Y Cable is a 0.6/1kV XLPE-insulated power cable with double galvanized steel tape armor and HDPE (high-density polyethylene) outer sheath, designed per the VDE designation system. VDE naming: N = standard type, 2X = XLPE insulation, B = steel tape armor (Bewehrung), 2Y = HDPE sheath. The steel tape armor provides robust mechanical protection against crushing, impact, and penetration — making N2XB2Y the cable of choice for direct burial, concrete embedment, and installations exposed to physical hazards, while the HDPE sheath delivers superior moisture and chemical resistance compared to PVC-sheathed alternatives.
