Product Overview
N2XBY Cable is a 0.6/1kV XLPE-insulated power cable with non-magnetic steel tape armor and PVC sheath. VDE naming: N = standard, 2X = XLPE, B = steel tape armor, Y = PVC sheath. It is the cost-optimized armored cable in the VDE family — delivering the mechanical protection of double steel tape with the proven reliability of PVC compound 5V-90 as the outer sheath. N2XBY is the most widely specified armored cable for general industrial, commercial, and utility applications across Central Europe and export markets.
Cable Construction

1. Conductor — Copper, Class 1 or 2
2. XLPE Insulation — 90°C rated
3. Filler — Non-hygroscopic PP
4. Binder Tape — Core assembly
5. Inner Sheath — PVC bedding
6. Armor — Non-magnetic steel tape
7. Outer Sheath — PVC 5V-90
