CYKY Cable is a 0.6/1kV PVC-insulated, PVC-sheathed unarmored power cable widely used in Central and Eastern European markets for fixed indoor and outdoor installations. The designation "CYKY" follows the Polish/German cable naming convention where C = copper conductor, Y = PVC insulation, K = cable, Y = PVC sheath. It is the regional equivalent of Germany's NYY and the UK's BS 5467 unarmored PVC cable — all referencing the same physical construction under different national standards.

Copper Conductor

Plain annealed copper, Class 1 (RE, solid) or Class 2 (RM/SM, stranded) to EN 60228 / IEC 60228. RM = round stranded; SM = sector-shaped compacted stranded for larger cross-sections.

PVC Insulation

PVC compound DIV 1 per HD 603 S1. Rated for continuous conductor temperature of 70°C, with short-circuit tolerance up to 160°C for maximum 5 seconds.

Inner Bedding

Extruded elastomeric or plastomeric compound, or plastic binding tape, applied over the laid-up cores to provide a circular bedding surface for the outer sheath.

PVC Outer Sheath

PVC compound DMV 1, black (standard). Flame-retardant, resistant to UV, oils, acids, and alkalis. Other colors available on request. CPR fire class Eca per EN 50575.
