Product Overview
LVAV Cable is a 0.6/1kV unarmoured power cable with aluminium conductor, PVC insulation and PVC sheath, manufactured to the Polish/Czech standard LN 4961:1991 and CENELEC HD 603 S1. The designation LVAV follows the central European naming convention: L = aluminium conductor (lehký = light), V = PVC insulation, A = standard, V = PVC sheath. It is functionally equivalent to the German NAYY and the Russian AVVG — all share the same Al/PVC/PVC unarmoured construction, differing only in the national standard to which they are manufactured and tested.
Aluminium Conductor
Solid or stranded aluminium per LN 4961. ~61% IACS conductivity, ~50% lighter than copper. Class 1 or 2.
PVC Insulation
PVC compound per HD 603 S1. 70°C continuous, 160°C short-circuit (max 5s). Colour coded per HD 308 S2.
PVC Bedding
Extruded PVC or plastic tape. Provides circular cross-section for multi-core assembly.
PVC Outer Sheath
PVC compound, black. Flame-retardant per EN 50265. UV-resistant for outdoor installation.
