Product Overview
LXAV Cable is a 0.6/1kV XLPE-insulated steel tape armoured PVC-sheathed power cable with aluminium conductor per IEC 60502-1. Designation: L = aluminium conductor, X = XLPE insulation, A = standard type, V = PVC sheath. It is the aluminium-conductor counterpart to copper N2XBY — delivering the same 90°C XLPE performance and steel tape mechanical protection at 40-60% lower conductor cost and approximately 50% lighter weight. LXAV is suitable for outdoor fixed installations requiring mechanical protection against impact, crushing, and rodent damage — direct burial, cable ducts, and outdoor cable trays. Single-core variants use aluminium tape armour to avoid eddy current heating.

Iron-Wooden Drum
Reinforced composite drums for heavy cross-sections (95mm²+). Steel tape armour adds mechanical robustness.
Documentation
IEC 60502-1 test certificates, CPR Eca Declaration of Performance, material traceability.
Typical Applications
Direct Burial & Underground
Steel tape armour provides mechanical protection against soil pressure, sharp stones, and rodent damage for buried installations.
Industrial Power Distribution
Outdoor fixed installations in industrial plants. XLPE 90°C rating handles higher ambient temperatures than PVC alternatives.
Outdoor Cable Trays & Ducts
Fixed outdoor installations where cable is exposed to mechanical aggression. AG2 medium impact severity rating.
Mechanical Protection Zones
Areas with risk of impact, crushing, or falling objects. Steel tape armour protects against mechanical aggression during service life.
Cost-Driven Infrastructure
Aluminium conductor reduces project material cost by 40-60% vs copper. XLPE insulation maximizes ampacity from the same cross-section.
Cold Climate
-40°C minimum service temperature. Suitable for outdoor installations in extreme cold zones without sheath embrittlement.
