RVMV & XRV Cable is a 0.6/1kV XLPE-insulated steel wire armoured (SWA) PVC-sheathed power cable manufactured to the Spanish standard UNE 21123-2. Two designations describe the same cable family: RVMV (R = steel wire armour, VMV = XLPE/PVC construction) and XRV (X = XLPE insulation, R = steel wire armour, V = PVC sheath). The dual naming reflects usage across Spanish-speaking and export markets where either designation may appear in project specifications. Single-core variants substitute aluminium wires for steel to eliminate eddy current heating — a requirement clearly stated in UNE 21123-2 for single-core SWA cables.
