Product Overview
U-1000 RVFV XAV Cable is a 0.6/1kV XLPE-insulated armored power cable manufactured to the French standard NF C 32-322. Naming: U-1000 = 1000V rating (French designation for 0.6/1kV), R = rigid conductor, V = XLPE insulation, FV = tape armor (steel or aluminium), XAV = indicating aluminium tape option for single-core. It is the French NFC equivalent of the Spanish UNE 21123 RVFV-K — both share identical construction principles: XLPE insulation, double steel or aluminium tape armor, PVC sheath, with aluminium tape mandatory for single-core to avoid eddy current heating. The conductor is Class 1 (solid, 1.5-4mm²) or Class 2 (stranded, 6mm²+), with Class 2 also available for smaller sizes on request.

Class 1 solid (1.5-4mm²) or Class 2 stranded (6mm²+). Class 2 available for smaller sizes on request.
XLPE Insulation
Cross-linked polyethylene per IEC 60502-1. 90°C continuous, 250°C short-circuit (max 5s).
PVC Bedding
Black extruded PVC separation sheath between laid-up cores and armor. Ensures smooth bedding surface.
Tape Armour (FV/XAV)
Double steel tape (multi-core) or aluminium tape (single-core mandatory per NFC). 0.2mm for ≤35mm², 0.5mm for ≥50mm².
PVC Outer Sheath
Flexible PVC, black. Low halogen (chlorine <15%), flame-retardant per NF C 32-070 C2.

Applicable Standards & Certifications
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| NF C 32-322 | French national standard for XLPE insulated armored power cables 0.6/1kV. The primary standard for U-1000 RVFV. |
| NF C 32-070 C2 | French flame retardancy test — Category 2 bundled cable fire performance. More stringent than single-cable IEC 60332-1. |
| IEC 60502-1 | International standard for power cables 1kV-30kV. U-1000 RVFV meets all IEC 60502-1 requirements. |
| IEC 60332-1-2 | Flame non-propagation — single cable vertical flame test. |
| EN 50575 | CPR fire classification — Eca class. Mandatory for cables sold in EU since July 2017. |
| UNE 211605 | Spanish UV resistance certification — accepted for French outdoor installations. |
Technical Specifications — Dimensional Data
All values per NF C 32-322. Dimensions represent maximum values. Armor thickness: 0.2mm (≤35mm²), 0.5mm (≥50mm²). For current ratings and voltage drop data, refer to the RVFV-K specification which uses the same cable construction per IEC 60502-1.
