Product Overview
TYIR / TYIR 50 OL-AL Cable is a 0.6/1kV aerial bundled cable (ABC) with aluminium phase conductors and a steel-aluminium neutral carrier, PVC insulated and twisted into a bundle. Manufactured to Romanian standard ST 125-2006 and harmonised European standard SR HD 626 S1. Phase conductors use concentrically stranded aluminium (RM); the neutral conductor is a steel-aluminium composite carrier (ACSR type) providing both current return path and mechanical support for overhead spans. TYIR covers standard configurations; TYIR 50 OL-AL extends to 64 additional configurations for combined phase/street lighting networks.
Phase Conductor
Concentrically stranded aluminium (RM). Hard drawn for aerial mechanical strength. Available from 10mm² to 95mm² cross-section.
Neutral Carrier
Steel-aluminium composite (ACSR type). Steel core for tensile strength + aluminium layer for conductivity. Self-supporting messenger.
PVC Insulation
Weather-resistant black PVC. 70°C continuous, 160°C short-circuit. UV stabilised for decades of direct overhead exposure.
Twisted Bundle
Phase and neutral conductors twisted together. Eliminates wind clashing, reduces visual impact, single-drum installation.
ABC Advantage
No phase-to-phase short circuits from wind or wildlife. Lower electrocution risk. Reduced maintenance vs bare open-wire lines.
Street Lighting Ready
Dedicated auxiliary conductors (16–50mm²) for public lighting circuits in the same bundle — one cable, all services.
