Flat Twin PVC Sheathed Cable (BVVB)
Flat Twin PVC Sheathed Cable (BVVB) is a copper-conductor flat cable for fixed wiring, lighting circuits, residential distribution, and indoor electrical equipment. It consists of two parallel copper cores, each individually insulated with PVC and enclosed by a continuous flat PVC sheath.
Unlike RVVB, which uses flexible stranded conductors, BVVB is normally manufactured with a solid copper conductor for smaller fixed-wiring sizes. Stranded conductor options can be supplied for selected larger sizes or special production requirements. The flat arrangement saves installation space and keeps the two cores together along the cable route.
The two insulated cores are joined by an integral PVC connecting web formed as part of the flat sheath extrusion. The web is not an external binding tape, braid, loose filler, or separate round outer jacket. The product is intended primarily for fixed installation and should not be specified as a continuously flexing cable.

Copper Conductors — Solid copper for common fixed-wiring sizes; stranded options available by specification
PVC Insulation — Individual insulation around each conductor
Integral PVC Web — Continuous connection between the two parallel cores
Flat PVC Sheath — White, black, or customized outer sheath forming the flat twin profile

Key Features
Flat Fixed-Wiring Profile
The parallel flat shape saves space and supports neat surface wiring, lighting, and residential distribution layouts.
Solid Copper Conductor
Solid copper is used for common smaller fixed-wiring sizes, providing stable termination and dimensional consistency.
Integral PVC Sheath
The two cores are joined by a continuous PVC sheath and web formed during extrusion, without external binding.
Clear Dimensional Control
Finished size is specified as width × height, with insulation and sheath thickness shown separately for engineering review.
Indoor Electrical Wiring
Suitable for fixed indoor power, lighting, equipment connections, and surface wiring when correctly selected.
Color and Packing Options
Outer sheath color, core identification, marking, cut length, and packing can be arranged according to the order.
Construction Details
BVVB is a flat fixed-wiring cable built from two parallel copper conductors. Each conductor is surrounded by its own PVC insulation, and both insulated cores are enclosed and connected by a continuous flat PVC sheath. This is different from RVVB, whose conductor is normally fine-stranded and flexible for movable connections.
Rigid Copper Core
Common small and medium sizes use a solid copper conductor. Larger sizes may use a stranded copper design such as 7/0.85, 7/1.04, or 7/1.35.
Individual PVC Insulation
Each copper conductor has a separate PVC insulation layer to provide electrical separation and color identification.
Integral PVC Connecting Web
The web between the two cores is part of the continuous PVC sheath extrusion. It is not a separate tape, braid, filler, or external tie.
Limited Flexibility
BVVB is intended for fixed wiring and should not be used as a continuous-flexing substitute for RVVB or appliance flexible cords.
